Woven Glass

So my cousin (well, my Moms cousin) THom and his partner Eric are going to be on CBS News Sunday Morning tomorrow. The show is from 9-10:30 AM eastern time. SNOW!!!

It's snowing in Easter North Carolina! Which is definitely something to blog about. If you recall it was about 70 degrees for Christmas. This past week temperatures dropped to below freezing so today we finally got that beautiful white powder.  I snapped some pictures quickly this morning, I wasn't sure how much we would get or if it would actually amount to anything but we have about 2-3 inches on the ground now! It never snows here so all the schools were let go early and even a lot of work places! People are driving pretty slow and a little crazy even though the snow isn't sticking to them. Hopefully tomorrow won't be too hectic!

****Update: So all of the counties that it snowed in yesterday have closed the schools today. Business's are still closed and I'm pretty sure that they don't have snow plows or salt trucks here (then again it hasn't snowed in seven years!). The roads aren't too bad but there is still snow on them, no one has cleared them up. And my 9:00 AM doctors appointment?  It was canceled with out my knowledge. Apparently the base is closed until noon today. UGH...this place is worse than Maryland in the snow.

Rambles

• I think that I have a popcorn popper growing inside me, which the doctor tells me is a good thing.
• I can't stand the hospital here, too many women are pregnant therefore its always busy and  all of my appointments have been about 10 minutes long and leave me totally clueless.
• I just found out about Shade Clothing, which is a totally modest company and their prices aren't too bad! Plus there's a sale going on right now.
  
• Yesterday while at Michael's I found a paper craft line by ColorBok called Friendly Forest and it's a bunch of little cute wild animals and is also absolutely perfect for how I wanted to decorate our nursery!!!! 
• I have the best husband ever, he's very supportive of everything I want to do. He also doesn't understand why I get so excited over crafting projects and calls me a dork for it all the time, but I think secretly he's jealous that he's not as good at them :]
• Yesterday I finally talked to my boss at the surf shop and I put in my two week notice, to which he said, " Well duh, it looks like your gonna fall over any second and you've still got a while to go!" Thanks Geoff.
• We're going on vacation to Durango CO in two weeks where we'll also be in New Mexico and Utah. I'll make sure that my camera has lots of batteries :]
• And that's it for the rambles right now :] Just had a bunch of thoughts bouncing around my head.

Another Commercial

So I'm guilty of watching the Ellen show just about every morning... she's funny, I dance along its great. Anyways, they did a segment of funny commercials and I had to share this one! Enjoy :]

Convertible? Not anymore...

Well I've made another step towards Mommyville :] We traded in my bachelorette mobile, a very cute little VW convertible that got me all around Maryland durning my "college years". It was actually starting to fall apart on us so I'm not too sad to see it go. But I will miss it come beach season! That little car has been to the beach too many times to count, from OC Maryland and Dewey Beach Delaware, and the beaches here...plus the seven hour drive from Maryland to North Carolina! The car dealership is going to have a fun time trying to get all the sand out of it, I never could :] 

So now we own a Ford F150 and a Dodge Durango. I now drive the Durango around (which TJ says makes me look like a mom...not my ever growing belly, but the big mom-mobile car). Its huge! And that thing is a tank... if for some reason I do get into a car accident, I think I would take out any other car around here and could keep going haha, not that I'm planning on an accident, but it makes me feel safer...and its much safer for our little one. 

And I feel like I really rambled on so thank you for reading this....and here is an actual commercial about F-150's. Its not from here, we found it on youtube...so enjoy. It makes no sense but it makes me laugh :]

I forgot...

I forgot to include this picture in my Christmas post, and instead of editing, i just decided to do the first post of the new year! And maybe this will remind me to take down our decorations.This is my favorite picture of me and my mom from the holiday so I had to share. And my mom has decided that she just wants to be called Trudy, NOT Grandma :]
